Treasury and ownership
DAO Governance and Treasury Management
How the DAO governs the treasury and manages stock acquisitions.
DAO Governance
The Owned DAO allows users to vote on treasury management, such as stock acquisitions, portfolio adjustments, and audit reports.
How Governance Works
- Proposals: Any DAO member can submit a proposal for a vote.
- Voting: Members vote on proposals, and the outcome is executed automatically if quorum is met.
- Execution: Approved proposals are executed by the treasury’s smart contracts.
Example Proposals
| Proposal | Description | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Acquire $1M in AAPL shares | Proposal to acquire $1M worth of AAPL shares for the treasury. | Passed |
| Adjust Dividend Strategy | Proposal to adjust the treasury’s dividend reinvestment strategy. | In Progress |
| Publish Audit Report | Proposal to publish the latest treasury audit report. | Passed |
Voting Power
Voting power is determined by the number of tokens you hold. The more tokens you have, the more influence you have in governance.
Treasury Management
The DAO can vote on:
- Stock Acquisitions: "Should we acquire $500K in MSFT shares?"
- Portfolio Adjustments: "Should we rebalance the treasury’s stock portfolio?"
- Audit Reports: "Should we publish the latest audit results?"
